I’m so glad you’re here!

Let me share with you what I mean by “Claim Your Vibrant Life”.

Claiming your vibrant life is:

  1. Creating space in your life to make change
  2. Embracing a philosophy of abundance rather than lack
  3. Becoming aware of what you’re consuming through ALL your senses
  4. Incorporating practical, individual, sustainable steps that work for YOU
  5. Understanding it will take a holistic approach to eating well, sleeping well, moving well and stressing well

Read on for a few thoughts to expand on these points.

Creating space in your life to make change

We all would like a “quick fix” or “instant gratification”, myself included. But the reality is that life-long health and wellbeing don’t happen that way. Nor is it a “one-size-fits-all” approach. For change to last, a custom plan that works for YOU is the solution.

My mission is to work with you in a way that allows you to incorporate tools that you can use in your life that are practical, individual, and sustainable.

How to make it not overwhelming?
I’ll take you through a 24-hour day that shows you how to create space to make this journey possible. It doesn’t have to be overwhelming or all-or-nothing.

My services are designed for you to take what you need and leave the rest! I invite you to say “Yes YOU Can!”

Embracing a philosophy of abundance rather than lack

My philosophy is “What goes ‘IN’ shows up™”
I believe in INspiring, INdividualizing, INcluding.

Say YES to practical, individual, sustainable choices that support your needs and lifestyle. Say YES to health gain, and all the things you CAN do and have.

Working together you’ll experience confidence, perspective, abundance, inspiration, focus, reprioritization, appreciation, strength, energy, and vibrancy in your life.

You’ll let go of the “the lack” you perceive in your life.

  • It’s not about saying: “Don’t do this or that.”
  • Instead: “Have you thought about doing ____?”
  • I won’t put you on a diet, demonize foods, or use deprivation.

Becoming aware of what you’re consuming through ALL your senses

What you see, smell, taste, hear, touch, think, and believe can have a profound affect on your body, mind and spirit.

What you SEE:

According to the National Organization on Women and Body Image: American women, and girls, get an average of 40 negative messages a day about their bodies.
What images do you see every day and how do they impact you?

What you SMELL:

Your sense of smell is the only sense that has a direct connection to the brain. Your scent cells are renewed every 30 to 60 days. Researchers from Rockefeller University tested people’s sense of smell by using different mixtures of odor molecules. The results were published in the Journal Science showing that the nose can smell at least one trillion distinct scents!
How does the sense of smell affect your choices every day?

What you TASTE:

Tastes include sweet, sour, bitter, salty, and metallic. Taste cells are renewed about every 10 days. According to the National Institute of Deafness and Other Communication Disorders (NIDCD) approximately 25% of Americans are non-tasters, 50% are medium tasters, and 25% are “super-tasters.” This can influence dietary preferences and overall health status.
How does your sense of taste affect your dietary choices every day?

What you HEAR:

What you hear helps to shape and influence every part of your life. Some sounds are relaxing, while others cause stress. There are everyday sounds you no longer notice, and other noises you would prefer not to hear.
How does what you hear influence your daily choices?

What you TOUCH:

“To touch can be to give life,” said Michelangelo. I admit, I’m a hugger. I love to give and receive hugs. When my husband was in a horrific bicycling accident a few years back, daily hugs became a part of his healing regimen. Despite the benefits of our digital world, it’s vital to preserve human touch for our overall wellbeing. There’s a saying by Virginia Satir, a respected family therapist: “We need four hugs a day for survival. We need eight hugs a day for maintenance. We need twelve hugs a day for growth.”
How does the power of touch influence your choices?

What you THINK:

When you think diets help you, you can get trapped in a cycle of setting unrealistic goals; eating less food; destabilizing blood sugar; binging and starving; down-regulating metabolism; up-regulating fat storage; fighting depression and fatigue.

You might yo-yo between different diet plans: high-protein, low-carb; high-carb, low-protein; no-fat or low-fat diets; low-calorie fasting diets; caffeinated diet pills and powders.
How do your dietary thoughts impact your daily choices?

What you BELIEVE:

Consider theses myths and how they might affect you.

  • A calorie is a calorie
  • You have to be “thin” to be healthy
  • You have to cut and count calories to maintain a healthy body
  • Workout more, eat less to lose weight
  • Low carb diet is best
  • Low fat diet is best
  • Low protein diet is best

Which myth do you believe and how does that affect your choices?

Incorporating practical, individual, sustainable steps that work for YOU

Are you overwhelmed by the hundreds of diets and health books available on the market? Are you confused by all the “health” labels found on foods in the grocery store? Are you frustrated with workouts that exhaust you with little return on investment? Are you watching your weight continue to climb even though you’re eating and exercising “right”?

If you said “YES” to any of these questions, you’re not alone. I’m here to help you clear up the confusion and dispel the myths. I’ll work with you and give you a practical plan to better energy, a clear focused mind, and a long healthy life that works for YOU.

This journey is about long-term health gain not short-term fads!

Understanding it will take a holistic approach including these four pillars: eating well, sleeping well, moving well, and stressing well

I customize these modalities: holistic nutrition, mindfulness, yoga, meditation, and fitness to YOUR specific needs and lifestyle.

Why? Because it’s not enough to focus on what you’re eating.
I agree that’s important. However, thinking that if you change your diet your whole life will change, you will most likely get frustrated. The analogy I use is it’s like a chair with 4 legs but one leg is broken.

For example, you might be eating a really clean diet, sleeping really well and getting enough movement in your day but you’re stressed to the max. The stress leg is broken and causing all the good you are doing with the other three legs – eating, sleeping, and moving well – to be discounted by your high stress level.

The definition of frustration: You have hit a point in your life where something has changed – maybe your not eating well, sleep-deprived, sedentary, and/or highly stressed. Knowing your circumstances have changed but your habits have remained the same can be frustrating.

Everything you do, sense, and believe profoundly affects your mind, body, and spirit. Uncover what’s negatively affecting your health and begin your transformation today.
