Kerry teaches both Yin and Vinyasa Flow Yoga.  She integrates meditation and breathing techniques into her classes.

KerryGCPShe understands that each persons body is unique and firmly believes in “adapting the Yoga for the person, rather than trying to fit the person to the Yoga.”  She has the ability, through her soothing voice and mindful spirit, to provide guidance that encourages an experience of individuality, calmness and balance for her students.

Each class has a purpose.  Her vast knowledge of anatomy ensures that her teaching is informative and thoughtful to encourage correct movement and alignment, thus inspiring individual practice in a safe environment.

Yin Yoga:

Bernie Clark, who writes and maintains yinyoga.com, says it best, “Suitable for almost all levels of students, Yin Yoga is a perfect complement to the dynamic and muscular (yang) styles of yoga that emphasize internal heat, and the lengthening and contracting of our muscles. Yin Yoga generally targets the connective tissues of the hips, pelvis, and lower spine. Yin is about stretching your connective tissues, and this is the realm where your energetic meridians are housed. Yin Yoga is not restorative yoga…”

Vinyasa Flow Yoga:

Vinyasa means “to place in a special way.” Vinyasa flow yoga is a flowing sequence of poses that you coordinate with your breath as you inhale and exhale. Your movements are connected to your breath, and offers an opportunity to reach a peaceful and thoughtful state at the end of your practice.  Each class has a specific emphasis of postures to give you a deeper experience of twists, for example. Consideration for balancing muscular groups, front and backbody and the mind is maintained.
