– Acai Health Benefits: One 100g serving contains 70 calories, 3g fiber, heart-healthy omega fatty acids, 0g sugar and zero caffeine, cholesterol or gluten. It also contains Vitamin A, vitamin C, Iron, potassium and calcium.

– Buying Acai: Acai comes in a few forms. Frozen acai smoothie packs, acai juice and acai powder. Our favorite way to enjoy acai is via the frozen smoothie packs because you can easily blend up frosty smoothies and creamy purple acai bowls.

– When choosing acai you can either buy 100% acai or a “blend” product. We buy the Sambazon brand Unsweetened, Pure Acai Berry Smoothie Packs.

The Ultimate Acai Bowl

  • 1 package frozen ACAI (preferably unsweetened)
  • 1 cup almond, coconut, rice or hemp milk
  • 1/2 cup frozen strawberries
  • 1/2 cup frozen blueberries
  • 1/2 frozen banana
  • 1 serving of your favorite protein powder

Blend above ingredients in blender until smooth.

Add more milk if needed or less to thicken.
On top: add sliced banana, hemp seeds, and berries of choice, a drizzle of raw honey and your favorite granola. Other toppings could include shredded coconut, and/or cacao nibs!
