As I was eating my avocado at breakfast this morning I was thinking about how good they taste, how nutrient-dense and versatile they are.
Here are a few fun facts and ways you can enjoy your avocados!

2. Full of healthy fats: over 75% of the fat content in an avocado is great for your heart
3. Avocados are good for your eyes: 81mg of lutein & zeaxanthin which are antioxidants known to support eye heath
4. Avocados are great brain food and good for your nervous system: A serving of avocado contains 3.5g of unsaturated fat required for healthy brain and nervous system development
5. Avocados are loaded with fiber: A 100 gram (3.5 ounce) serving of avocado contains 7 grams of fiber, which is 27% of the recommended daily amount
6. Avocados have more potassium than a banana. Per 100g (3.5 ounce), avocado has 485mg of potassium – that’s 127mg more than bananas!

Avocados are actually a fruit so they count towards your fruit intake
Avocados make the best edible bowls
1. I love to cut an avocado in half and put sea salt and fresh ground pepper on it and eat away! Yum!
2. You can fill it with sauerkraut, salsa, diced vegetables, a few spoons of curry or bake an egg in it.
